How to Add Co-Owners to your Geyser Connect

Did you know you can share control of your Geyser Connect with family, visitors and tenants by inviting them to be Co-Owners on Sensor Connect?

Sharing control is a useful feature if the owner of the Geyser Connect isn’t always available to adjust the geyser settings, such as the geyser temperature and heating schedule. This enables family members, friends, visitors to the property and tenants, to change specific settings on the geyser without needing to ask permission from the Geyser Connect owner.

Co-Owners Can

• Turn the geyser on or off
• Update the geyser temperature
• Update the geyser heating schedule
• Use the Heat Now feature
• Use the Load Shedding Heating feature
• View the Analytics of the geyser (energy usage)
• View the Events log of the geyser
• Remove themselves as co-owners of the Smart Geyser device

Co-Owners Cannot

• Change the Geyser Connect name
• Delete the Geyser Connect
• Share control of the Geyser Connect with other co-owners
• Add themselves as a Co-Owner to someone else’s Geyser Connect
• Subscribe to a Geyser Connect they do not own

Important
Sharing control with Co-Owners allows both you and them to access the Geyser Connect in a secure manner. If you share a single login, you may be logged out of your account and have to login again every time you open the app. Rather avoid the hassle and share with your Co-Owners.

How to Add a Co-Owner
Sharing your Geyser Connect with a Co-Owner is a handy way to enable family, visitors and tenants to enjoy the convenience, while maintaining strict access controls.

1. Open the Sensor Connect app
2. Click on your Geyser Connect in the Devices list
3. Click on Settings icon
4. Click on Co-Owners
5. Click on the + icon
6. Enter the mobile number of the person you wish to invite as a Co-Owner (or press Select Contact and choose the number from your phone contacts)
7. Click on Submit
8. The Co-Owner will receive a WhatsApp message to download the app
9. The Co-Owner will need to register a separate account on Sensor Connect
10. Once the Co-Owner has verified their account on Sensor Connect, they will have partial control of your Geyser Connect

How to Remove a Co-Owner

1. Open the Sensor Connect app
2. Click on your Geyser Connect
3. Click on Settings icon
4. Click on Co-Owners
5. Click on the Bin icon next to the existing Co-Owner’s name (or pending invite)
6. Click on Confirm

The Co-Owner will immediately lose access to control your Geyser Connect, but they can be re-added as a Co-Owner later using the steps above.
